Janett has been a Nurse since 2002 and received Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner in 2020. She has worked in public hospitals and general practices in Victoria. She completed postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Nursing and Mental Health Nursing, along with a Professional Certificate of Counselling and a Master of Nursing degree.

Janett has special interests in Primary Health Care, Immunization, Education, Health Promotion, Weight Loss, Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes, and Wound Management. She is also recognised within the aged care industry for her work as an author and speaker at international conferences.
