Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Gurvinder Kalra completed his specialist psychiatry training in Mumbai, India & subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in Australia. He works as Consultant Psychiatrist with Latrobe Regional Hospital Mental Health Services and is the Lead Psychiatrist with Gender Clinic at Monash Health (statewide service for the trans, gender diverse and non-binary individuals). He is also Senior Adjunct Lecturer at the Monash School of Rural Health (Monash university)

His clinical areas of interest are mood disorders, grief and bereavement, mental illness in various cultural groups and migrants, mental health in gender and sexual minorities and in particular trans, gender-diverse and non-binary individuals.
